Do you have weeds creeping through your patio pavers? Grass climbing around your fence and making your house look less than manicured?
This organic homemade weed killer recipe will kill your weeds and allow you to easily remove them. Without putting nasty chemicals in your garden and into your soil.
You will need…
• 1 cup salt
• 1 gallon white or horticultural vinegar
• 1 tbsp dish soap (a natural one works to make the recipe fully organic but any is fine)
• Gloves and eye protection
We like to use a simple garden sprayer from the hardware store like this one.
Mix the ingredients together and simply spray on all weeds to kill them.
Be careful not to get this on any plants that you want to keep. This spray will kill any plant it comes into contact with. Let it sit for an hour or more. The longer you leave it the better it will work.
Once the plants are dead you can simply scrape them our pull them out. Make sure to wear gloves for this also so you don’t get the solution on your skin.
Keep children and pets away from this mixture as horticultural vinegar can burn. I
If you don’t use it all store it in a safe location out of the reach of your children or pets. Follow the directions on the bottle of horticulture vinegar for safety. You can also use simple white vinegar for this.
